Sheffield Pugs is now a Registered Kennel Name with the AKC. The 2 people who are AKC co-owners of the Registered Kennel name Sheffield for pugs are Margery Shriver, (Maryland) and Robert Gravel (New York). Please see the approval letter from the AKC that gives both of us the protected rights to use this kennel prefix with pugs. |

Established in 1961 by Breeder, Exhibitor and Founder Margery Shriver, there is no doubt that Sheffield Pugs had a dramatic impact on fixing Breed Type throughout the USA and possibly throughout the world. As you explore the Sheffield Pugs of the past you will be taken down a historic road that leads full circle to the present day Sheffield Pug. Starting with a vision and then becoming a lifelong Journey, its founder set forth to create a bloodline that yeilds one of the finest phenotypic examples of the race for the world to awe and embrace. Sheffield Pug bloodlines can be seen in the top kennels in both the USA and other countries around the world.
